For years, I worked as an ultrasound technician, caring for people and supporting families through some of life's biggest moments. Like many busy professionals, I spent plenty of time in laundromats and couldn't help but notice the same thing over and over again: outdated machines, cramped spaces, and an experience that felt more frustrating than helpful.
I kept thinking, "We can do this better."
So I decided to build the kind of laundromat our community actually deserves. Just for Fun Laundry was created with one simple goal: to make laundry easier. As a locally owned, woman-owned business built through hard work, personal savings, and a whole lot of determination, every decision has been made with families in mind.
From modern equipment and coinless payments to spaces where kids can play and parents can relax, we're creating a place that feels welcoming, safe, and efficient.
Because life is busy enough. Laundry shouldn't make it harder.
Our Mission
Just for Fun Laundry isn't backed by a large corporation or a group of investors. It's the result of one local woman seeing an opportunity to create something better for her community.

After years in healthcare, I understood how valuable time truly is. I met exhausted parents, hardworking professionals, caregivers, and families juggling countless responsibilities. I also experienced firsthand how inconvenient and outdated the laundry experience could be. People deserved more than broken machines, endless quarters, and spending half their day waiting around.

That's why Just for Fun Laundry was designed differently.

Our spacious facility features brand-new, high-efficiency equipment that helps you get in and out in under an hour. We offer multiple machine sizes—including our oversized "Big Bertha" washer for bulky loads—along with wash-and-fold service and pickup and delivery options for those who need an extra hand.

But this business is about more than clean clothes.
​
It's about creating a place where families feel comfortable. A place where kids can enjoy a future Kid Zone while parents catch their breath. A place that's safe, welcoming, and rooted in community. It's about supporting causes close to our hearts, including women's organizations, animal rescues, and helping women rebuild their lives and re-enter the workforce.​ At the end of the day, my hope is simple: that Just for Fun Laundry becomes the laundromat you actually want to visit.
